What size should a panorama video be for Instagram Reels?

1080×1920 pixels (9:16) at 30 fps. Keep it between 5 and 15 seconds so the pan reads as a smooth camera move rather than a slideshow.

Does the photo get cropped?

The photo is scaled to fill the frame’s height (or width for tall photos) and slides across, so every part is shown over the course of the video. Nothing is cut off — it just isn’t all visible at once.

Can I add music?

Yes. Pick a track from the licensed library, set the volume and it is mixed into the MP4 with a short fade in and out. Instagram also lets you add audio after upload.

Why does the export take a while?

Every frame is rendered and the video is encoded with ffmpeg inside your browser, so nothing is uploaded. A 10-second 1080p video is 300 frames; choose the fast 720p option for a quicker render.

Is this the same as a panorama split?
